VIKASH Basdeo of Industry, East Coast Demerara appeared before Sparendaam Magistrate, Alex Moore Wednesday, charged with using abusive language, wherein he was alleged to have verbally abused Latchmi Kumaran on April 13 at Industry, ECD. Represented by Attorney-at-Law Gwendolyn Bristol, he pleaded not guilty to the charge. The virtual complainant was not present in court, and Counsel Bristol managed to secure self-bail for her client.
Basdeo will return to court on May 4.
