I WOULD like to respond to Malcolm Harripaul’s vindictive and slanderous missive in Stabroek News March 23, 2012 titled:  ‘First Visit to parliament since 79, What a Change’. Firstly, Malcolm and his family were isolated in their village and as a result his father was catapulted as a Headmaster at a Primary School in Canal #1. The older Harripaul was a backyard school teacher who was an enemy of the people in Canal #1 Polder.
After the massively rigged elections in 1973, The New Nation newspaper in a centre-spread article had old Harripaul depicted as a dedicated Member of the PNC for twenty five years. In that article, the writer also said that young Malcolm Harripaul was following in the footsteps of his father and further described him as an active YSM Member.

It is not surprising that Malcolm is an overzealous supporter of the APNU. He has always been and unfortunately always will be, an opportunistic “dunce boy”.

This stranger to the truth must let us know who in the front bench is sporting the biggest Stalin mustache. Further, he must tell us which m  minister is driving the largest luxury SUV.

His lies were further exposed when he spoke about the PNC having 4×4 vehicles when they were in office.  The truth is that things were so bad in those days that gasoline and kerosene were in short supply and there were hardly any luxury vehicles to be seen.

I am quite sure that the PPP Comrades are proud of the fact that they were donating half their parliamentary salary to their Party (PPP). Further, I am told that PPP Members of Parliament are continuing the good tradition of giving a portion of their salary to the party.

I am sure that my friend was ‘a Janet blue eye boy’. However, he is not suffering from ‘pigment skin’. My friend and mentor visits Coglan Dam regularly and is presently a staunch devotee of the Coglan Dam Mandir.

Editor, Malcolm Harripaul never had friends in Pouderoyen and his father’s role as Headmaster in Canal # 1 was most loathsome and unacceptable. Malcolm needs to come and clean himself and begin to speak the truth.
