Former players to feature in matches tonight as Thomas United Football Club’s 52nd Anniversary continues

FORMER national players Dion and Chris Barnwell, Jermaine Brown, Keith Goppy, Ovis Fraser, and Anthony Stanton will once again don uniforms for Thomas United Football Club against Victoria Kings as they celebrate the club’s 52nd Anniversary in the Mashramani Challenge Cup knockout football tournament, collaborated by the Winners Connection Football Club of Linden, tonight at the GFC ground from 18:00hrs. In this match experienced players will come against a youthful East Coast side and exciting entertainment is expected during this match-up.
Victoria Kings will be looking to requite themselves against the big-name players of the past, after suffering a defeat in the opening of the 2012 Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Super League against Den Amstel  last Sunday at Uitvlugt.
Kings will feature in their lineup former national players Pierre Joseph, Winston Pompey, Kwesi De Souza, Aubrey Gibson and Calvin De Souza.
The feature match at  20:00hrs will bring together BK Western Tigers and Seawall, both of whom also will be looking to restructure their game plan and move to the next round in this tournament before returning to the GFF Super League at weekend.
BK Western Tigers will see old stalwarts in Delon Fraser, Devon Millington, Shermon David, Phillip Rowley and Dwayne Ali while Seawall will be strong with Delon Josiah, Twanie Lopes, Orville Bobb and Sherwin Lanferman.
