Men remanded on $2.5M larceny charge

— warrant issued for third defendant
TWO men, on Monday, appeared before Magistrate Allan Wilson on a $2.5M simple larceny charge. Dequan King and Odele Roberts (no addresses given) were not required to plead to the indictable charge, which stated that, on February 22, they stole two motor vehicle chassis totalling $2.5M, property of Rakesh Shaw.
Osia Mc Coy, another accused in the matter, was absent from court, and had a warrant issued for his arrest.
Police Corporal, Jairam Luckhai, prosecuting, objected to bail on the basis of prevalence and seriousness of the offence.
The duo was remanded to prison, and the case will be called again on March 15.
