AN overseas-based religious organisation is appealing to all Guyanese to let peace prevail in the aftermath of our general and regional elections, and for all to accept the results of the elections, whatever these final results are.
Below is the full text of the organisation’s message:
The New York, New Jersey and Connecticutt United Federation calls for peace.
As the Honary President of the Arya Samaj United Federation of New York, New Jersey and Connecticutt, I, Vishnu Bandhu, will like to add to the call for the holding of elections in a peaceful way.
My organisation urges all citizens to use their democratic rights to go out and to exercise their franchise. We urge the continuation of the prevailing peace in our beloved country.
Again, we urge, whatever the results, that there should be prevailing peace as we work towards building our beloved land of Guyana.
