Heikens wins King’s Jewellery World Medal Play golf tourney

CONSISTENT ladies golfer Rita Heikens shot a net 64 to emerge winner of the King’s Jewellery World Annual Medal Play Golf tournament, played over the weekend at the Lusignan Golf Club. Thirty-eight players took part in the tournament as players gear up to compete in the RBTT/RBC Suriname Open tournament next month.
Robert Hanoman copped the second position with net 68 while third place went to Vijay Deo with net 69.
Mohanlall ‘Santo’ Dinnanauth had the Best Gross while Bholawram Deo was Nearest to the Pin.
Secretary of the Lusignan Golf Club William Walker expressed gratitude to King’s Jewellery for their continued sponsorship.
Walker, who won last year’s tournament and walked away with Oakley sunglasses among other prizes, said the LGC is looking forward to a long and fruitful partnership with the local jewellers.
Marisa Greene-Basoo, who represented King’s Jewellery, assisted in the presentation of prizes.
