Husband bonded for wife assault at her request

FIFTY-YEAR OLD Kennard Seenauth appeared before Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs Marcus at Vreed-en-Hoop Court, yesterday, charged with unlawfully assaulting his wife, Maxine Seenauth.
But the virtual complainant said she did not wish to give evidence against her husband and her request, that the General Manager of two Essequibo mining companies be bonded, was granted.
He was also ordered to pay $20,000 court costs.
The charge against the defendant, to which he pleaded not guilty, said he committed the unlawful and malicious assault, on May 28, at Crane, also on West Coast Demerara.
