HANIFF Salim (no address given), who obtained credit from a shop by fraud, was, yesterday, given until June 17 to pay the debt.
Before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, the defendant pleaded guilty to the May 24 offence, particulars of which said he incurred the debt to Marlon Marcus by obtaining 24 bottles of stout, four beers and three cans of juice, costing a total of $22,280.
Salim said he took the merchandise but, later, realised he did not have enough cash but is willing to repay the virtual complainant.
Pending the payment, Salim is on $25,000 bail.
