MAGISTRATE Adela Nagamootoo, on Thursday, slapped a one year ban on Patrick Barry nicknamed ‘Blue’, after convicting him of dangerous driving. In addition, at New Amsterdam Court, in Berbice, the banned driver was warned that a breach will result in him being imprisoned for seven days.
The prohibition followed a February 11, 22:00hrs incident in, New Amsterdam, when Barry was at the wheel of PMM 2115 and overtook another vehicle, at a fast rate of speed, along Main  Street on the double lines, where it was not safe and forced a convoy of vehicles off the roadway .
