Could Hubert Wong say what qualities define a good leader?

PLEASE allow me the space and time to respond to a letter written by Hubert Wong, captioned ‘President Jagdeo lacks sophistication’, published in the Kaieteur News on Tuesday, April 12th 2011. Mr. Wong, you did not say what qualities define “a good leader”? Yet you sought to lambaste the President of Guyana. Can you please write at least a miniature essay on ‘Leadership?’ Here are some pointers: Give examples of some outstanding leaders; Comment on the various styles of leadership; Identify traits of successful leaders/leadership.  For now, here is how asinine you sound.
“…we cannot help but once again question the wisdom of Janet Jagan who foisted Jagdeo on the nation, …”

Such a preposterous assumption! This then makes you, not just Mr. ‘Wong’, but Mr. ‘Wrong’. Can you validate this assumption? If you cannot, then you are suffering from some kind of chronic psychiatric malaise.

After all, this is your diagnostically, hasty, bold, simplistic and verbose ‘essay’ on Mr. Jagdeo.

You have manifested more feculence, foolishness and froth than you are attributing to Mr. Jagdeo, based on how he, Mr. Jagdeo, in his capacity as President, reacted. And you need to know that the ‘supposed outburst’ is a response. He did not initiate any discourse. For too long, the Jagdeo–led PPP administration and their supporters have been malignantly treated by minions (of some higher station) of your ilk. So you are assuming, and that is precisely what you are accusing the President of.
Secondly, contrary to “…his (Jagdeo) selection of Ramotar as the PPP’s presidential candidate in the upcoming elections’ is a blatant disregard of a simple, transparent fact. Many are assuming that the PPP’s presidential candidate, Mr. Ramotar, is the ‘appointee’ of Mr. Jagdeo. In assuming this absurdity, Mr. ‘Wrong’ is casting grave aspersions on the likes of Gail Teixeira, Clement Rohee and Ralph Ramkarran.
Again, if there were an abrasive coercion by the Presidents’ incumbent, where is the fission in the PPP? Talk about being a subject for psychiatric exploration! And for your (Mr. Wong’s) obvious illogicality, it is a clear suggestion that you are a victim of mental vacuity. Putting it simply, it means you cannot think.
Finally, how come an affluent and opulent Mr. Lall seems least bothered by this haranguing from President Jagdeo? The impression is our Mr. Wong again is really a ‘Mr. Wrong.’ Even Lall, ‘your unfortunate client’ seems not to be the lone member of your imaginary constituency.
By the way, how many people are you speaking for? Or in the tradition of Freddie Kissoon, you fight for a cause unknown, and on behalf of people who care not. It is time you experience an epiphany. May it come quickly too. At least you will be able to see your foibles and follies.
