Albouystown storekeeper mugged in Agricola

– taxi driver robbed, relieved of car on the East Coast
POLICE are investigating an alleged robbery committed on a 25-year-old storekeeper as she sat in a parked motor-vehicle on the public road at Agricola about 19:15h Friday night.
According to a police report, the woman, Seeranie Lall of Hunter Street, Albouystown, was sitting in the motor vehicle when she was held up by two men armed with firearms.

They away her jewellery, two cell phones and $1,000.00 before escaping.
Investigating are also ongoing into an armed robbery that occurred at about 2100 h Friday night at Better Hope on the East Coast of Demerara.
The Police reported that taxi-driver Rameshwar Singh of Non Pariel another East Coast village was attacked and robbed of his motor car, shoes, cellphone, US$52.00 and $4000 Guyana currency by two men armed with firearms.
Singh was reportedly hired by a female to be taken to Better Hope and while putting her off at her destination, he was confronted by the two men who held him at gunpoint.
The motor vehicle was recovered by the police at about 0930h. yesterday with the front and rear lights, front grill, car stereo, speakers and two side mirrors missing.
