Warning! Con artists vary in shape and form

THE following letter was sent to my email address, and then I subsequently received a call from the individual demanding money for services rendered, and services that could be rendered: “I’m Mr. Joseph Tetteh, the new Managing Director of Merchant Bank of Ghana. The earlier you pay attention to this memo the better for you. I write to let you know that your payment has been intercepted by my department. I noticed this interception in your payment file last week when I was going through out-going payments files on my payment desk. Your lawyer, friends and those who promised to help you receive your payment are presently working against you. You have made all efforts to receive your approved payment whereas their plan was to use your name and divert your funds into another account against you. But the good news for you is that we have intercepted both the account and the funds and found your name to be the original beneficiary of the funds they diverted.
They have made you to pay several fees upon fees with the promise of transferring your funds into your account, all to no avail but I have good news for you.
The reason why I’m contacting you now is to let you know that I’m out to help you receive your payment. I will use my power and position in my good office and correct all abnormalities and irregularities done on your payment file and ensure a smooth transfer of your funds into your account without any problem.
All I need from you is your trust and your ability to adhere to my instructions.
I’m out to help you receive your payment and I promise to do everything within my power to ensure that you received your payment through me. Be rest assured that your problems are over starting from the day I hear from you. Joseph Tetteh”
The public needs to be warned that this is another face of a conman.
