COMMANDER of Police Division ‘D’ West Demerara/ East Bank Essequibo on behalf of ranks in the Division recently presented a Mountain Climber bicycle to Elain Jones age 75 years of Lot 23 Inner Bagotsville, West Bank Demerara.
The recipient has been riding for over 25 years from Bagotsville to Regent and Alexander Streets, Georgetown, where she is having a small business.
She leaves her home between 11:00 hours and 12:00 hours, purchases 40 kilogrammes (about 100lbs) of ice at Ruimveldt, tend to her business and return home between 21:00 hours and 22:00 hours. She is also a farmer.
Elain, receiving the bicycle at her home, expressed thanks to the ranks in the Division and its leadership for their kind gesture and went on to say that the bicycle will greatly assist her.
