Opening ceremony tomorrow for Police Junior Officers’ Course

THE Guyana Police Force has indicated that there will be an opening ceremony tomorrow for its Junior Officers’ Course No. 20 at the Police Officers’ Mess Annexe, Eve Leary.

The feature address is slated to be delivered by Minister of Home Affairs Mr. Clement Rohee.

Twenty-three (23) ranks drawn from the Guyana Police Force, Guyana Defence Force, Guyana Prison Service, Guyana Fire Service and the City Constabulary are presently participating on the twelve weeks programme.

The objectives of the Junior Officers’ Course are to provide the participants with the necessary knowledge, skills, values and attitude that will allow them to understand their role as junior managers; and to develop their managerial and operational capabilities in order to enable them to perform at a consistently high standard.
