The horror of 9/11

MANY might remember where they were on that tragic day of 9/11 and personally it was a horrific event that saw the attack on the world by irresponsible persons. I vividly remember thinking I was looking at one of those “Die Hard” movies when I first saw the first plane attack on the first tower. Just after, my head might have been in my hands for a while when I realised that it wasn’t a movie and anger and sadness begin to kick in.
What event hurt even more to witness “Firefighters” risking their lives to save others and just couldn’t save themselves, the bodies hanging from windows and all we could have done was to watch in horror of what transpired.
As we approach another anniversary on 9/11/2010 and in commemoration of those innocent lives taken away unjustly, I am simply suggesting a minute of silence and the entire religious fraternity and the media should consider it a humanitarian deed to sending the message out to the general public.
