IN response to the article published in yesterday’s edition of the Kaieteur newspaper captioned, “Teen with ‘flu-like symptoms’ dies suddenly”; management of the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC)  wishes to state that the Post Mortem Examination (PME) has not yet been completed; tests are still currently being run and as such, GPHC is not in a position to issue a conclusive statement on the issue.
GPHC will issue a further statement following the completion of the Post Mortem Examination.
