Three rape accused want legal representation

Accused Phillip Jones, Noel Adams and Kevin Harris, who allegedly raped a young girl in 2006, yesterday claimed that they would wish to have counsel to represent them, but were not in a financial position to retain lawyers.
Their case was called up yesterday as a result of investigation, but after they
told of their dilemma, Justice William Ramlall warned them that their trial will go on in the October sessions, with or without their lawyers.
The men claimed that they are on $175,000 bail.
But after the prosecutor made it known that somebody was attempting to  interfere with the witnesses for the State, the judge warned that if it appeared  from evidence that any of the accused was involved in the interference, they would be arrested and their bails bond will be forfeited.
