THIEVES broke into another family home on Essequibo Coast, at Exmouth, last Thursday and stole money, jewellery and garments.
They entered the two-storey building by breaking through a wooden window and removing several bars at the house where widow Omawattie Samaroo, her daughter and three-year-old grandson live.
The occupants were all asleep when the burglary took place around 03:00 h but Samaroo’s daughter, who is the mother of the three-year-old boy, awakened about 03:50 h and discovered all her DVDs and CDs scattered on the floor.
Samaroo said her daughter immediately checked for her gold jewels and found none.
An undisclosed sum of cash and a bank card were also stolen, together with cakes, biscuits and bread from the kitchen.
Samaroo said the burglars also ate food and drank soft drinks from her refrigerator before escaping, after the second such loss she suffered this year.
Recently, a neighbour of hers lost $1.5M in cash and jewellery.
