COMMANDER of Police ‘G’ Division, Superintendent Christopher Griffith has announced an intensified campaign against speeding on the Essequibo Coast Public Road.
He told Guyana Chronicle, the Police are currently carrying out several traffic exercises and they include roadblocks, raids and searches.
Griffith said some motorists appear not to be heeding sirens and they will be targeted, too.
He reported that, for this year, so far, there were eight road deaths on Essequibo Coast, one more than for the corresponding period last year
