Region Two gets 13 more medical doctors

CHAIRMAN of Region Two (Pomeroon/Supenaam), Mr. Alli Baksh has reported that the Regional Administration has added another 13 medical doctors to its Health Department to boost its services.

He said the new doctors recently returned from studying in Cuba and are working along with 29 others, including specialists, at Suddie Hospital and Diagnostic Centre on Essequibo Coast.

Baksh said the Regional Administration has also taken the initiative to post some of the medical practitioners at Huis t’Dieren, Anna Regina and Charity health centres.

He added that, from January, more doctors will be sent to other health centres and Amerindian communities across the Region.
