Murder accused to be charged for Court conduct

– Prosecutor
RONDELL Bacchus, who has been on remand since being charged with the July 2006 murder of scrap metal dealer Akbar Alli, is to face other charges as a result of his conduct yesterday.

This was disclosed by Police Inspector Robert Tyndall after the remanded prisoner, who is in prison for approximately three years, made another Court appearance.

On his way to appear before Magistrate Nigel Hawke, Bacchus hurled threats at Tyndall, who is prosecuting in his cases.

Bacchus, 29, of ‘C’ Field, Sophia Squatting Area, Greater Georgetown, shouted that he would have killed Tyndall if he was not shackled.

Although relatives admonished him to desist, Bacchus threatened to beat Tyndall, who said, as a result, the former will be charged with disorderly behaviour and threatening language.

Bacchus, apart from being accused of unlawfully killing Alli, on Brickdam, is alleged to have, on July 24, 2006, together with Andrew Morris, 34, of Lot 263 East La Penitence, in Georgetown, as well, robbed his wife, Bibi Hydar Alli, at gunpoint, of $2.1M.
