SPRUCING UP THE ROAD MARKINGS

The Ministry of Public Works & Communications has embarked on a programme of sprucing up of road markings in the city and its environs.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY
The Guyana Police Force wishes to notify the general public that in order to facilitate the CARICOM Heads of Government Conference which will be held at the International Conference Centre, Liliendaal, ECD, from Thursday July 02 to Sunday July 05, 2009, the following roads will be closed to vehicular traffic as detailed.

CONFERENCE CENTRE
The Railway Embankment Road between Sheriff Street and UG Access Road will be closed to vehicular traffic from 0700h. daily until an appropriate time.

NATIONAL CULTURAL CENTRE/OPENING CEREMONY
On Thursday July 02, 2009, the following roads will be closed from 1500h. until an appropriate time in order to facilitate the Opening Ceremony for the Conference.

Homestretch Avenue, between Vlissengen Road and Mandela Avenue

Mandela Avenue, between Hadfield Street and Francois Street
