THE Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) has announced that the deadline for the acquisition of motor vehicle licence has been further extended to July 15, 2009.
In a notice, the GRA reminded that persons who fail to comply with this deadline will be penalized under the law.
A fine of 10 per cent of the licence cost is the penalty for motor vehicle licences purchased after July 15, 2009, the GRA stated.
The GRA said this measure is intended to facilitate those who would have been unable to obtain their licence before the end of the agreed grace period yesterday.
