DEVON Manroop, 19, was refused bail on a larceny from the person charge yesterday, after Police Corporal Munilall Seetaram, prosecuting, told Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson-Ogle that the defendant is not sure of his address and it might be difficult to locate him.

Manroop is alleged to have stolen a $15,000 gold chain from Alicia Hussain on April 21 but he pleaded not guilty to the offence.

The virtual complainant said the defendant pulled at it but escaped with only a piece of the jewel which was not recovered when he was arrested.

Manroop has to be back in Court tomorrow.
