Seven-foot jaguar scares some, excites others

A BIG jaguar was seen swimming in the Pomeroon River on Monday.

Regional Administration and Education Department officials saw the fearsome animal while travelling by boat in the vicinity of Ulele, 65 miles from Charity.

While some of them were excited to see a jaguar so close for the first time, others were afraid of the seven feet long predator.

However, as the boat got closer to it, the jaguar swam off to the other side bank of the river.
