One stop shop’ a laudable housing initiative

THE Housing Ministry’s two-day ‘One stop shop’ service was an initiative that provided much information to the residents of Region Three.

Those who were not able to travel to Georgetown to get their matters addressed in an efficient and quick manner were able to do so on those two days of the outreach.

I personally was able to interact with the Minister as it relates to housing matters, who referred me to his courteous staff of the Housing Ministry.

I also saw a number of persons who sought name changes on their applications and clarifications on the access of loans among other matters were assisted in a customer friendly atmosphere.

The programme was well received since persons were able to process their applications, uplift titles, transports and identify their plot of land for construction.

Taking the Ministry’s service to the people of Region Three was an opportunity that most of us would never forget; it was a chance for us to become homeowners.

I do hope that when the service moves to other regions persons will take up this opportunity, I did and now I can start the construction of my new home.
