ACTING Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson-Ogle yesterday put two drug defendants on bail after they both pleaded not guilty.
One of the duo, Royston Adams, 44, of Lot 230 Eccles Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara, denied that, on February 24, he had half a gramme of cannabis (marijuana) in his possession.
He was ordered to post $35,000 surety until March 4.
The other defendant, Seon Charles, 19, of Lot 348 Cummings Street, Alberttown, Georgetown, is charged with having had nine grammes of the same narcotic on February 23.
He was allowed pre-trial freedom on a $50,000 bond and must be back in Court March 20.
