Rugby West Indies face Cardinals today

RUGBY West Indies will begin their quest for top honours in the XX Edition of the Punta del Este International Sevens Tournament today in Uruguay.

According to a release, Rugby West Indies will face homesters Cardinals in a Pool Six fixture.

The release stated the West Indian team arrived in Montevideo, Uruguay, on December 31 and have settled into their training camp.

Twenty-six international teams are contesting this Latin American Sevens tournament in the seaside resort town of Punta del Este.

The teams have been assigned to eight pools for the opening day with Rugby West Indies heading Pool Six which also includes Cardinals and Wolves.

Argentina, Uruguay, Italy, Tonga, Samoa, Chile and Fiji head the other pools.
